aws Preseed & Seedfinancing is run by Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws), the Austrian federal development and financing bank. It provides non-repayable grants to Austrian startups from idea stage through to market launch. Preseed (up to €100K) covers concept development, prototype building, and market validation. Seedfinancing (up to €400K) funds product development and early market entry. Both require an innovative product or service with a viable business model. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. aws also offers advisory services and connects funded startups with its broader investor and corporate network.
