I-Nov (Innovation Competition) is a French public innovation procurement program managed jointly by ADEME, ANR, and Bpifrance. It runs thematic calls across 12 priority areas including digital, health, transport and mobility, energy, and environment. Eligible applicants are French startups and SMEs with R&D projects of €1M–5M over 12–36 months. Co-financing covers 45–70% of eligible project costs depending on company size. I-Nov focuses on projects close to market with clear commercial potential, rather than fundamental research. Applications are submitted per thematic call.
