EIC Transition bridges the gap between early research results and market-ready products. It is exclusively open to teams and spin-offs that have completed an EIC Pathfinder or ERC Proof of Concept project. Funding of €500K–€2.5M supports technology maturation, prototype development, business model validation, and early IP strategy. Applicants can be research institutions, startups, or SMEs. The goal is to bring innovations from TRL 3–4 up to TRL 5–6, establishing a credible path to commercialization.
